HGSE-GELC is led by a founding executive board of HGSE doctoral and master’s students who are committed to building a vibrant, equity-minded community of global education leaders. Each board member brings their own academic expertise and international perspective to the work of the Collective.

Founding Team & Mentors


Chassity serves as the primary leader responsible for the governance and overall direction of the Collective. As Founding President, she established HGSE-GELC’s mission, infrastructure, and strategic programming, and leads the organization’s vision for community building, international opportunity, and leadership development.

Calvin Reddick Jr.

Calvin serves as liaison and stand-in president, upholding and advancing the vision of the Collective. He supports organizational governance and plays a key role in recruitment outreach, including efforts to expand HGSE-GELC’s membership and bring in international doctoral students.


Parisia leads community engagement and marketing for HGSE-GELC. She oversees outreach efforts, manages the Collective’s social media presence, and works to build an active, inclusive community both within HGSE and among prospective members.

Nina ensures the operational efficiency of HGSE-GELC. She manages the logistics of meetings, events, and programming, and partners with the President to ensure the organization runs smoothly and meets its commitments to members.

Bryson Green
HGSE — Doctoral Student

Bryson develops and maintains strategic partnerships with other HGSE and Harvard organizations. He collaborates with external organizations to expand the Collective’s network, programming reach, and international opportunities for members.


Ignacio is a Master's candidate in Education Policy and Analysis at Harvard Graduate School of Education. A former Fulbright Scholar and educator from Colombia, he is passionate about expanding access to education and opportunity for underserved communities. Following graduation, he will serve as a Harvard Bloomberg City Hall Fellow in Chile, supporting local economic development initiatives.

Malaika Ogukwe is a consultant, coach, and Harvard Graduate School of Education graduate whose work focuses on social-emotional well-being, healing-centered leadership, and community building. Drawing on experience across consulting, tech, marketing, and education, she creates impactful learning experiences that inspire connection, growth, and collective imagination.

Lakeisha Reed is a 2025 graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she earned her Master of Education in Education Leadership, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship. She also holds a bachelor degree in English with a concentration in Elementary Education from Springfield College and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education from Elms College.
